TOMMY NO
Partner
Prior to Advantage Capital Group, Tommy spent nearly a decade in lending, mortgage brokerage and investment sales within some of Western Canada’s largest and reputable firms. Tommy is a graduate of the University of British Columbia where he obtained a double major in finance and real estate with honours distinction. To date, Tommy has been involved in the origination of over $550M in commercial real estate transactions with a focus on land, construction and commercial properties. Tommy prides himself in his work ethic, energetic attitude, and desire to take care of his clients. In his spare time, Tommy is an avid skier and novice golfer.

MAX RIPPER
Partner
Max is a graduate from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University where he obtained a major in finance with honours distinction. Max began his career at one of Canada’s largest commercial brokerage firms with a focus on investment sales. Since starting Advantage Capital Group ("ACG"), Max has established himself as a premier advisor completing over $500M in debt financings, with a particular focus on residential construction and CMHC financing. Additionally, Max is primarily responsible for leading the firms private capital efforts by raising and placing private debt and equity across Canada. Outside of work, Max is an avid golfer, squash player and snowboarder.

MICHELLE CHILD
Vice President
Michelle has over a decade of institutional banking and brokerage experience, having worked with some of Canada’s largest commercial lenders and private equity firms.
With over $1B in completed transactions, Michelle specializes in land and construction financing across the full development lifecycle—from pre-development through construction and take-out financing. Her focus is on capital planning, lender strategy, and financing execution for her clients. Outside of work, she can usually be found on the ski hills, near the ocean, or at the boxing gym.

OWEN LECKY
Associate Vice President
Owen is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario’s Business School. He began his career at one of Canada’s largest commercial brokerage firms, gaining experience in office, retail, and industrial leasing. Owen then expanded his expertise with one of British Columbia’s premier construction firms, working on development and industrial tilt-up projects, before moving into real estate financing. His experience spans commercial brokerage, construction, development, and both debt and equity structuring, making him a trusted advisor from initial land feasibility studies to construction completion.

Outside of work, he can often be found on the tennis court or playing in a local summer rugby league.
